Sturdy, stable, and inexpensive, this drip coffeemaker brews twelve 5-ounce cups of coffee directly into a glass carafe. The brewing process pauses for 30 seconds if the carafe is removed from the nonstick warming plate for a mid-brew pour. A knuckle guard protects against heat when the carafe is lifted. For convenient filling the water reservoir has a wide mouth, and it's clearly marked inside with water-level calibrations. The filter basket swings out and is removable for easy filling and cleaning. The coffeemaker uses disposable paper filters--six are included, along with a measuring scoop for coffee. It's clad in gleaming white plastic and measures 12 inches high, 8-1/2 inches wide, and 10-1/2 inches deep. Push-in cord storage in the rear reduces clutter. --Fred Brack
